Follow your taxi, wedding shuttle, truck, car or scooter from the old city lanes to the highway. Order online, pay the courier on arrival, and we guide the setup on WhatsApp.
Udaipur has no technician team yet, so your tracker arrives by courier and we walk you through the fitting.
Udaipur is a city of lakes ringed by the Aravalli hills, and a vehicle here can face lanes, shorelines, highways and hill roads in a single day.
Narrow streets around Lake Pichola and the City Palace, where parking is tight and vehicles stand for hours.
The Fateh Sagar shoreline fills with cars and scooters on summer evenings, and every bay is taken.
Roads to Ahmedabad, Chittorgarh and Jaipur carry goods trucks, buses and taxis for long distances.
Bends and climbs towards Sajjangarh, Haldighati and Kumbhalgarh, where mobile signal comes and goes.
Udaipur is a favourite for destination weddings, and a single event can need dozens of cars, tempo travellers and buses moving between the airport, hotels and venues on a tight schedule.
| MOMENT | VEHICLES | WHAT THE TRACKER SHOWS |
|---|---|---|
| Arrival | Taxis and cars for airport pickups | Which car is nearest to the terminal and who is already on the way |
| Hotel runs | Tempo travellers as guest shuttles | Live position of every shuttle, so a guest never waits blind |
| The big day | Buses for the baraat and venue transfers | Where each bus is, and whether it will reach the venue on time |
| Departure | Return taxis and shuttles | A full record of the trips, ready for billing and review |
Put the whole event fleet on one TCSVTS login and the coordinator sees every vehicle on a single map. Rental and tourist taxi owners get the same view of their cars through the season.
Udaipur's industry is heavier than its postcards suggest. The marble belt around Rajsamand sends blocks and slabs out by truck, and zinc from the Zawar workings and the city's major producer moves on the same roads. Much of it heads for Gujarat along the Ahmedabad highway.
A truck GPS tracker turns a long haul into something an owner can watch. You see where the truck is, where it stopped, how long the engine ran idle and whether it kept to its route. Every truck sits on one login, and no driver needs to be phoned for an update.
Rajasthan requires government-approved AIS-140 VLTD devices on many categories of commercial vehicles, and Udaipur's busy tourist and freight trade means plenty of vehicles are affected. A VLTD device carries a panic button, and running a vehicle that needs one without it can bring a challan, a fine or seizure.
Taxis hired by tourists and wedding guests are among the vehicles owners most often ask about.
Passenger buses and tempo travellers on hire may fall under the rule, depending on their category.
Trucks carrying marble, zinc and other goods out of Udaipur are commonly asked about too.
We courier VLTD devices to Udaipur, and a local auto-electrician fits them with our wiring guide. VLTD pricing differs from a normal tracker. Read the full guide at AIS-140 VLTD GPS Rajasthan, then confirm what applies to your vehicle before you buy.
Ask about VLTDFor family cars parked in tight old-city lanes and driven on hill and highway trips. See where the car is, and hear about it at once if it moves when it should not.
For residents, students and the many tourist rentals that ride around the lakes. Compact trackers with ignition alerts, or magnetic ones with no wiring, moved between scooters in minutes.
Running a school, college or tour bus? See the Bus GPS Tracker Device page, or message us about e-rickshaw, personal and magnetic trackers.
The regular price of this tracker is ₹2,500. Order online and pay the courier when it reaches your Udaipur address.
Magnetic and wireless trackers take minutes to fit yourself. A wired tracker or VLTD device needs a local auto-electrician, who can work from our wiring guide while we support you on WhatsApp.
A tracker finds its position from satellites and sends it to your phone over a mobile network. Water and open shorelines are easy for satellites, which is why a car on a lakeside road shows up cleanly. The hills are the trickier part, because deep valleys can weaken the mobile signal even when the satellites are fine.
When the signal drops, the tracker keeps recording, and it uploads the route as soon as coverage returns. Nothing is lost, and the line on your map simply fills in.
In the monsoon, heavy rain and slick ghat roads make journeys slower, and the overspeed alerts and trip history are most useful then. Rain does not block satellite signals. A tracker fitted inside the vehicle is sheltered from most weather, and in the old city's narrow lanes, tall walls can make the position drift by a few metres. In open areas, accuracy is usually within a few metres.
The TCSVTS app shows each vehicle on a map with its status and speed. Set a geo-fence, switch on parking mode, share live location with a guest or family member, and replay any trip from the last ninety days.
Message your vehicle type on WhatsApp and we will suggest the right tracker, say whether you need a VLTD device, and guide your fitting.
